Tonya is a professional aerialist who specializes in vertical apparatus, single point lyra, invented apparatus, and lollipop. She started her aerial journey in 2012 with Detroit Fly House and Celeste Aerial Arts. Since 2023, Tonya has traveled internationally for specialty workshops, intensives, and teacher trainings.She is known for her umbrella act which she created for “Night Circus” at Celeste Aerial Arts in 2024. Tonya performs locally on lollipop lyra with Aerial Cherry Entertainment, and loves exploring interdisciplinary collaborations with her fellow artists. She currently lives in Clarkston, MI with her boyfriend, Craig, 2 Dogs, Sully and Ren, two Cats, Kolsch and Fiona!

Tonya started her aerial journey in 2012. She fell in love instantly. The strength and beaty is what drew her. She has a bachelor’s degree of science, majoring in clinical laboratory science. She works part time at a local hospital for the last 19 years. Aerial is her passion. She began teaching at movement united gym in 2021. Now teaching at Celeste aerial arts in Madison heights teaching intermediate & beginner silks. Also working at Cen4pal teaching kids lyra, hammock and silks. She is here to put a smile on all of her students faces. Her main focus is vertical apparatuses, but she also does lyra, inventive apparatuses and lollipop. She is level 1 certified silk teacher through Aerial Physique in 2023 and Leve 2 Certified silk teacher through paper doll militia in 2025. She has done numerous weddings, corporate events, art fairs, and teacher/student showcases. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and playing with her dogs, Sully & Ren!
